If you’re looking for a fun and lively spot to bring your friends and family, take a trip over the Potomac River to the National Harbor. Just around the corner from downtown and our DC Inn, the National Harbor overlooks the Potomac River and has a plethora of things for you to see and do. Take a ride on the Capital Ferris Wheel, shop in the outlet stores, dine at top-notch restaurant, or enjoy a boat ride – there’s something for everyone! After a busy day out on the town, you can relax at one of the cocktail lounges at the MGM National Harbor resort and casino or watch a movie on the Potomac. Here are a few suggestions of things to do at the National Harbor!
Where to Dine: For some good, Southern-style cooking head to Iron Chef winner Edward Lee’s Succotach. He adds an innovative flare to classic Southern dishes creating delicious and elegant dining experience. If you’re looking to get your Asian-fix, stop by Grace’s Mandarin for tasty, decadent dishes. They’re known for their fresh sushi served with locally sourced vegetables.
Where to Shop: National Harbor is a shopper’s dream with an outlet mall and designer stores abound. To get deals on your favorite name brand stores, visit the Tanger Outlet mall located at the harbor. A few of the stores include Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren, Vince Camuto and Brooks Brothers. Also along the harbor are many boutiques and unique shops for you to check out!
What to Do: In addition to the many on-going activities taking place at the National Harbor, there are a variety of events to attend. Every weekend they have the Miller Farms Famer’s Market where you can get fresh produce, baked goods, and bouquets of flowers. This summer you can enjoy an outdoor movie under the stars during their series of Date Night Movies.
