From September 11-13 the security conference Protect 2017 by Hewlett Packard Enterprise will be taking place at the Marriott Wardman Park, near our Washington DC bed and breakfast. Cyber threats are an ever-present threat that can take down your system by just the click of a button, and this conference will explore the measures in which you can take protect to protect your system from these risks. Through a variety of sessions, attendees will take a close look at data security and how to apply innovative techniques to protecting their data and technology.
Protect 2017 will consist of four session tracks for attendees to choose from, which are as follows: Application Security, Data Security, Intelligent SOC, and Public Sector. Each of these tracks will delve into the skills that you can acquire to keep your technology constantly protected and up to date. This year’s keynote speaker is Theresa Payton who is an expert in cybersecurity and was listed as one of the top 25 Most Influential People in Security in Security Magazine. Additionally, Payton was the first female to serve as White House Chief Information Officer, overseeing IT operations for the President and his staff.
Registration for Protect 2017 is $1395 from now until September 10th for a Full Conference Pass and $595 for a Day Pass. On-site registration is $1595 for the Full Conference Pass and $695 for the Day Pass. Hotel reservations must be made separately, and can be made at the Marriott Wardman Park for $219 plus tax per night with the group discounted rate.
