Each year hundreds of climate advocates come to Washington DC to lobby for effective climate change solutions, and this year it is as important as ever for passionate climate advocates to have their voice heard by Congress. If you’re ready to take action on climate change, you can join fellow advocates from June 11-12 for the 8th Annual Citizens’ Climate International Conference at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, near our DC Inn.
Citizens’ Climate International Conference 2017 will consist of workshops, training, sessions, speakers, lobbying on the Hill, and social events for a educational and valuable 2-day conference. These sessions and workshops are designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively communicate concepts and goals regarding climate solutions. Last year, for example, volunteers saw the effects of their efforts in the growth of Representatives on the Gibson Resolution and the creation and evolution of the House Bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus. Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) advocates for a carbon fee and dividend solution that would be projected to prevent over 230,000 premature deaths over 20 years from improved air quality.
Registration to attend the conference is $129 through April 30th and $179 through May 26th. May 26th is the deadline to register. Conference room rates for the Omni Shoreham Hotel are $269 per night and must be booked by May 10th to receive the conference rate.
