Here at the nation’s capitol at the Washington Hilton, near our Washington DC bed and breakfast, the Management and Leadership Conference (MLC) 2017 will be held from May 1st-3rd. MLC 2017 will be hosted by National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and will focus on increasing the influence of the hospice and palliative care community. There will be distinguished plenary speakers, educational sessions, and pre-conference seminars.
The opening plenary will be led by Nick Tasler, internationally acclaimed author and CEO of Decision Pulse. His session is entitled Think Strategically – Act Decisively, which will explore the vitality of decision-making and provide a 3-part process on how to make good decisions. The second plenary will feature Pulitzer Prize-winning Columnist Eugene Robinson discussing post-election perspectives. The speaker for the closing plenary will be Seema Verma, talking about what we can expect from the new administration.
In addition, there will be a pre-conference Hospice Manager Development Program from April 29-30th that will be a comprehensive management training program to develop skills for managing and system challenges. This two day intensive program will offer 14 hours of continuing education credit for nurses and social workers who complete this course by attending both days of the course.
If you register by February 13th, ticket prices are $850 for NHPCO Members and $1150 for non-members; registration by March 27th is $950 for NHPCO Members and $1250 non-members.
