This February 9th to 11th, the Black Engineer of the Year (BEYA) STEM Conference 2017 will be held near our Washington DC bed and breakfast at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park. Whether you’re a college student, pre-professional, or a professional there is something for you at the conference. BEYA STEM Conference is designed to have events, seminars, and speakers with valuable information for everyone. The conference will provide the attendees with skills to apply to their field.
BEYA STEM works to make this conference accommodate everyone’s needs by providing different workshop tracks to choose from. The seminar series will consist of in-depth professional seminars and workshops that will focus on topics including, diversity and inclustion, leadership, management, work life balance, and career and professional devlopmetn. These seminars will be moderated by an expertise in that field. There will also be presentations led by HBCU Engineering schools’ for a great opporunity to learn about the most cutting-edge research happening at these institutions.
Additionally, they will offer a Pre-College Program for an opportunity to network and connect with organzations and leaders who are working towards building the future STEM workforce. There will be a job fair for you to learn about various organizations, what they do, and who they are. Whether you’re currently looking for a job or not, this is a unique opportunity to make connections, sample some of the new technologies, and experience the best practices in the industry.
