At the Omni Shoreham Hotel, a few blocks away from our Washington D.C. inn, the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP) will be holding its fourth annual conference from September 26th-28th. The NASP Annual Meeting and Expo is the only comprehensive national specialty pharmacy conference in which all stakeholders can fully participate. The conference hosts senior executives, pharmacy directors, managed care organizations, consultants, and other management- level personnel from specialty pharmacy providers, infusion pharmacies, pharma/biotech manufacturers, institutional pharmacies, GPOs, distributors, staff pharmacists, and suppliers to the industry. This is an opportunity to make connections with others in your field and meet with exhibitors who provide optimal patient care.
What can you expect at the conference? There will be a variety of educational sessions and several hours dedicated to networking with others in the field. The NASP conference effectively equips you with the information you need on all of the developments within specialty pharmacy, including national legislation and regulatory policy. This conference will have professionals discuss a wide array of sessions including, Public Policy and Regulatory Environment Facing Specialty Pharmacy and A Look at Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Pharmacy Providers.
Registration costs for non-members is $1,145 before June 30th, $1,345 before September 25th and $1,545 onsite. For NASP members the registration cost is $895 before June 30th, $1,095 before September 25th and $1,295 onsite. Student registration is $150 and $100 for NASP student members.
Who is NASP? According to their website, they are a 501 (c) (6) trade association representing all stakeholders in the specialty pharmacy industry with members who are amongst the nation’s leading specialty pharmacies, GPOs, pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers, distributors and more. The over 1,200 members of NASP serve as a distinguished, collective voice of specialty pharmacy, and the NASP Annual Conference is a unique opportunity to unify for that purpose.
