No matter what city you go to in the United States, homelessness is seen and made real to each of our eyes. In America, there are thousands of people that spend each night homeless. The National Alliance to End Homelessness wants to change this statistic, each year they hold a national conference that brings light to homelessness, hoping and working towards a goal that one day, homelessness will be ended.
This year, the 2017 National Conference on Ending Homelessness will be held at the Washington Marriott Wardman park in beautiful Washington DC, just down the street from our Kalorama Neighborhood Bed and Breakfast. Registration has not opened yet, but be sure to check back on their website weekly, so you don’t miss your chance to attend this event.
What does the National Alliance to End Homelessness do? For years the National Alliance to End Homelessness has been the voice for the homeless, in the public and private places. The alliance works to develop cost-effective strategies and policies that will achieve their goal in ending homelessness. What a huge task this is, but each day they work towards the goal, taking one step at time some days and leaps others, but it certainly isn’t and will never be an overnight process.
