Sororities are an important part of many student careers, as well as their later professional networks. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is among one of the most active and prominent sororities in the nation.
Alpha Kappa Alpha has launched a wide variety of socially orientated initiatives aimed at helping communities both local and global as the adage goes. The initiatives range from healthcare (of which 660 programs have been done), to over 91 young leadership chapters, to fighting global poverty. The AKA sisters see these initiatives as a way of ‘capturing the promise’ which has always been a central theme of the sorority.
Always action orientated Alpha Kappa Alpha will be holding its 2014 North Atlantic Regional Conference on April 24th-28th Washington Marriott Wardman Park, 2 minutes drive from our Washington DC Inn.
